Police continued their crackdown on distracted driving with a ticket blitz Thursday afternoon, and it seems to be paying dividends.
Although 15 tickets were handed out on Thursday, just two of them were for cell phone use. That's a dramatic decline from the first two days of the crackdown.
On Tuesday, police reported that 11 out of 24 tickets had been for cell phone use. And on Wednesday, seven out of the 18 tickets were for cell phones.
The other 13 tickets handed out Thursday were for various other Highway Traffic Act offences.
