Clearing skies this morning herald a slightly warmer afternoon, although it’s still plainly fall weather.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of 20 C this afternoon, which is a few degrees warmer than normal, although some wind gusts of up to 40 km/h will stir things up.

A few clouds will stick around this evening, as will the wind, as temperatures fall to an overnight low of 6 C.

Tomorrow should be mainly sunny, with continuing wind until late Wednesday evening. The high looks to be about 16 C.

Thursday and Friday will be a bit cooler, hitting a high of 15 C both days, with overnight lows verging on freezing.

Temperatures will improve a bit for the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday should be clear and sunny, with temperatures in the low 20s, a trend that will continue into early next week.

The normal high for this time of year is 17 C, the normal low is 4 C.
