The City of Brandon has issued an invitation to the public to attend the official opening of the Hanbury Hill Pooch Park at 3 p.m., Monday, Oct. 22.

The unique park has been created in partnership with the Wheat City Lions Club and features benches and picnic tables for the public, along with a separately fenced area that small dog owners have the option to use, a city spokesperson said in a release.

Following the short ceremony, folks can take a walk — with or without their furry friends — around the forest-like setting and provide any feedback or comments they may have about park to the city officials.
