A man accused of dragging a woman out of bed and assaulting her has been tracked down and arrested by police.
They say that the alleged assault was reported at about 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday. The woman was at an apartment in the 1500-block of Seventh Street when the man, whom she knows, dragged her out of bed punched her, and threw her around. He's also accused of throwing a cell phone at her, hitting her in the torso.
She was treated at the Brandon hospital, and released.
When officers arrived at the home, the suspect had already left, but they were later able to find him at a restaurant along the Trans-Canada Highway, and he was arrested there.
A 26-year-old Brandon man is to appear in court on Dec. 12, on charges of assault and assault with a weapon.
