CFB Shilo man charged with bestiality

Brandon Police have charged a CFB Shilo man with bestiality.

On September 10, 2012, RCMP Brandon Detachment received a complaint that a man had solicited a female through a dating website to participate in acts of bestiality.

On September 28th, following an investigation and with the assistance of the Canadian Forces Military Police, a search warrant was executed at the man’s home near Brandon where computers were seized.  The 31-year-old man was arrested and has been identified as a current member of Canadian Forces Base Shilo.

He has since been charged with Bestiality, Procuring, and Circulating Obscene Matter under the Criminal Code.  The man was released on strict conditions pending a court appearance at a later date.

He has not been identified by police to protect the victim and members of his family.  No other details have been provided.

The Brandon Sun has been following this story throughout the day. The police released the information following a Sun inquiry.
