The 21-year-old Brandon man was ejected from the truck and, critically hurt, was taken to the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg with life-threatening injuries.

Police say he was located yesterday and charged as a result of the crash, which also sent a passenger to hospital. That 18-year-old woman was treated and released.

At about 3:45 a.m. on June 15, the pickup was apparently eastbound in the 1500-block of Stickney Avenue, when it left the road, hitting a concrete embankment, a staircase and railing, and then a hydro pole, knocking out power to the 24-unit Manitoba Housing development.

Damage at the time was estimated at between $10,000–$15,000.

The driver will appear in court on Oct. 29, on a charge of impaired driving causing bodily harm.
