Blustery day heralds cooler fall temps

Gusty winds of up to 70 km/h this morning will keep temperatures at about their seasonal highs — which is fairly cool, considering.

Environment Canada is calling for an afternoon high of just 18 C today, with winds finally dying down to about 20 km/h late this afternoon.

Skies will stay clear today and overnight, as the mercury falls to 3 C, although the winds will finally lighten up late this evening.

Tomorrow should again be clear, with a high of 18 C, although it won't be as windy as today.

Friday and Saturday, though, will be dramatically different. The forecast for both days calls for a high of 28 C.

Enjoy it while you can. Clouds are expected to return for Sunday and Monday, with temperatures those days back down to the mid teens.

The normal high for this time of year is 18 C. The normal low is 5 C.
