Three 2013 Polaris Switchback Assault 800s — orange and black, like this one — were taken from Swan River last weekend. A fourth snowmobile was also taken.

Four snowmobiles worth a total of $50,000 were stolen from a business in Swan River over the weekend.

Police say they were able to follow sled tracks through fresh snow all the way to the Kamsack area, but haven't managed to recover them yet.

The theft was discovered Saturday and apparently had happened overnight. Suspects had broken into the compound of Rough Country Sports in Swan River and made off with the four snowmobiles, including three 2013 Polaris Switchback Assault 800s, and one Polaris Indy 600. Three of them are orange and black and the other is silver/metallic grey.  Total retail value of approximately $50 000.00

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Swan River RCMP Detachment at (204) 734-4686 or to leave a tip through Crimestoppers.
