A serious two-vehicle collision Thursday night sent several people to hospital — one with significant injuries.
At about 7:10 p.m., RCMP from the Blue Hills area as well as emergency services from Brandon, were dispatched to a crash on Highway 10 and Provincial Road 45N, 16 kilometres south of Brandon.
A northbound British Columbia registered 2002 GMC Jimmy, driven by a 27-year-old B.C. male who was the lone occupant, crossed over the center line and collided with a southbound 2007 Honda Odyssey driven by a 76 year male, police said in a release Friday morning.
Alcohol may have been a contributing factor in this crash, police said.
The Odyssey also contained a 42-year-old male and 48-year-old female passenger. All of the Occupants of the Honda van are from rural southwest Manitoba.
Both vehicles sustained significant damages in the crash.
All individuals involved in the crash, were transported to Brandon hospital for further treatments.
The driver of the GMC Jimmy who suffered significant injuries, has since been transported to a Winnipeg hospital for further treatments.
Two of the occupants of the Honda van remained in Brandon hospital as of Friday morning for treatment of undisclosed injuries. The 42-year-old male passenger was treated and released Thursday night.
Blue Hills area RCMP with the assistance of the Criminal Code Investigative team and a forensic collision analyst, continue with this investigation.
