Police are investigating damage to a pipeline that was apparently hit by a bullet.
An inspector with TransCanada Pipelines noted the damage during an inspection last Thursday, May 15, and called police.
An above-ground section of the pipeline, located just norh of Elm Creek in the RM of Grey, had superficial damage to it that looks like it was caused by a bullet, although police say that is not yet conclusive.
Their initial investigation shows that the suspect was not near the pipe, but outside of the station’s security fence. They say it's not clear whether this damage was done intentionally or not.
However, RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact either the Carman detachment or Crime Stoppers.
