C-c-c-cold today, relief coming tomorrow

Yes, you woke up this morning to a skiff of snow on the ground.

Luckily, mainly sunny skies today will help get rid of it this afternoon, despite a predicted high of just 1 C.

Environment Canada says that things will get a bit better tomorrow, however. After plunging to an overnight low of -13 C tonight, the sun will strengthen Wednesday, bringing temperatures to a near-seasonal high of 9 C by mid-afternoon.

Thursday will be even better. The forecast called for a high of 16 C under more sun that day, with a low of -4 C.

Rain will move in on Friday and Saturday, however. The Friday forecast calls for a high of 7 C and a low of 2 C, while Saturday could see a high of 12 C and a low of 2 C.

The normal daytime high for this time of year is 10 C, and the normal low is -3 C.
