Calling all artists

The Brandon Arts Council announced today its inaugural Professional Artists Granting Program.

The 2012 grants will be worth up to $4,000 each, and be awarded to emerging professional and established professional artists or artist groups in a range of recognized artistic disciplines, the BAC announced.

The proposed projects must be completed by the end of 2013. Grant application deadline is Nov. 20 (applications must be postmarked by Nov. 20). Successful applicants will be notified by Dec. 20.

Guidelines and application forms are available at brandonartscouncil.ca, or at Brandon University's School of Music office in the Queen Elizabeth II Music Building.

The Brandon Arts Council was incorporated in 2008 for the purpose of supporting and funding professional arts activity in Brandon. For further information, please contact the chair of the Brandon Arts Council, Dr. Michael Kim at kimm@brandonu.ca.
