Despite an attempt at disguise, police were able to track down and arrest a teenager who stole two surveillance cameras and a fire extinguisher from a Cornell Bay apartment block.
Ironically, it was surveillance footage that identified the suspect, a 15-year-old Brandon boy.
Police say they were called shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Monday by the apartment block's caretaker. The suspect, even though he had covered his face, was identified from video surveillance, and was located and arrested.
While in the holding cells at the Brandon Police Service building, officers say the suspect also damaged the paint on a cell door.
A 15-year-old Brandon boy is to appear in court on April 16 to face multiple charges, including three counts of theft, four counts of mischief to property and once count of disguise with intent.
