Carjacking suspect hid keys in bra

A woman suspected of carjacking was found was found drunk in a front yard with the keys to the stolen vehicle in her bra.

Brandon police responded to a call of a stolen vehicle on the 800 block of Pacific Avenue Wednesday. Cops located it shortly after on the 300 block of Ninth Street.

Afterwards, they received a tip the suspect was on the 400 block of 19th Street and was arrested for being in possession of property obtained by crime.

Police also say the woman is currently bound by recognizance with a condition to avoid alcohol, of which she was in breach.

A 24-year-old Brandon woman was taken to the Brandon Correctional Centre and later released after she sobered up. She will appear in court on Aug. 14 to answer to her charges.
