RCMP say they do not suspect foul play in the deaths of two yearling cattle that were found on a rural farmstead southeast of Carberry.
On Oct. 6, Blue Hills RCMP were dispatched to a farm where the property owner said two of his calves had been shot and killed by an unknown perpetrator. The animals were valued at $900 each.
But on Monday afternoon, following inquiries by the Brandon Sun, RCMP issued a release stating that a partial autopsy had been conducted on the two yearlings, and that the cause of death of both animals has not been attributed to gun shot wounds.
