Brandon Sun - ONLINE EDITION
Cell phone ban for drivers begins July 15
Enforcement begins July 15 on the ban on drivers using cell phones and hand-held devices in Manitoba.
The province is announcing more details of the legislation and its enforcement at a press conference today and the Brandon Sun will report on them as soon as they are available.
The legislation targets people who drive while talking on a hand-held phone or sending a text.
The ticket will be $191 -- almost twice the cost of buying a quality hands-free device.
