Chance of showers, but warming up

It could rain a bit today, but it'll be a bit warmer than yesterday.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of 21 C this afternoon, well above normal for this time of year, and it's only going to get warmer.

There's a 30 per cent chance of showers under today's cloudy skies — unforeseen as recently as yesterday — but skies should clear again tonight, as temperatures call to about 3 C.

Tomorrow will be sunny again, with a high of 25 C.

The weekend looks stellar. Saturday's high is predicted to be a near-record 27 C, followed by 22 C on Sunday. Sun and more clear, blue skies are expected to stretch through both days.

Monday could see a mix of sun and cloud, with a high that afternoon of 21 C.

Temperatures will drop further into next week, with a high of 18 C for Tuesday and just 14 C on Wednesday.
