Summertime fun is on the agenda for Chet Hetherington after a scratch-off ticket won him $10,000.

"It basically comes at a perfect time," Hetherington said. "We are going to a reunion on a houseboat and now we won’t have to even think about how to pay for it."

Hetherington says he discovered his win while scratching his ticket and eating a piece of pizza before work. Three matching amounts on Game 3 of his "Set for Life" lottery game won him the cash.

"My heart was in my throat," Hetherington said. "I read the ticket over and over; I just couldn’t believe it!"

He immediately called his wife to tell her the news.

"I said, ‘We just won $10,000!’ She didn’t believe me."

Hetherington bought the winning ticket for just $5 at the Heritage Co-op on Sixth Street in Brandon.
