The city of Brandon is looking for worthy organizations that deserve a little extra money.
Applications are being accepted now by the city's Grants Review Committee, for non-profit organizations that would like funding in the 2015 fiscal year.
They'll be reviewed in the fall by the committee, with recommended grant funding to be provided for council approval prior to its 2015 budget deliberations. Approved grant funds will then be issued following final approval of the 2015 Financial Plan.
In 2014, grants totalling $183,500 were provided to 38 different various community groups and organizations.
Forms and additional information is available online at http://www.brandon.ca/councilinformation/ committees-a-boards. Organizations can also call 204-729-2296. Completed applications are due at the end of June.
