Hey there, time traveller!

An extreme wind chill was issued for Westman again this morning, but the bitterly cold temperatures will only last a couple more days.

The morning dawned with temperatures colder than -30 C and northerly winds of about 20 km/h that drove the wind chill values to -41.

But sunny skies will take over this afternoon, and the wind is expected to die down as the mercury climbs to about -24 C.

It'll be cold and cloudy tonight, with a low of -31 C.

Thursday will be milder, with a high of -15 C in the afternoon. If that's still too cold, you can warm up by shoveling some snow — Environment Canada is forecasting 5–10 cm will fall tomorrow, and moderate winds will blow it around most of the day.

Friday will be sunny, with a high of -18 C and a low of -22 C.

Relief comes over the weekend. Despite cloudy skies in the forecast, temperatures are expected to be about -4 C on Saturday and -6 C on Sunday.

Things may cool off a little bit next week, but it's not expected to be as cold as it was this week.

The normal high for this time of year is -11 C; the normal low is -22 C.
