Brandon Sun - ONLINE EDITION

Cool and windy today

Cooler weather has well and truly taken hold in Brandon, with a blustery day today and a few more coming up.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of just 17 C this afternoon, under a mix of sun and cloud, with wind gusts of up to 60 km/h though the day.

Winds should die off a bit overnight, as temperatures fall to 3 C, but will pick up again tomorrow, bringing in more clouds and a high of 16 C.

For Friday, it'll be substantially cooler. The forecast that day calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of just 12 C.

The weekend will be sunny, with some increasing warmth. Saturday's predicted high is 14 C; Sunday's is 19 C.

Sunny skies and warmer temperatures are forecast for early next week, as well, with Monday and Tuesday possibly hitting 20 C.

The normal high for this time of year is 17 C; the normal low is 5 C.
