Brandon Sun - ONLINE EDITION

Cool today, with snow overnight

A cold morning wind chill won't get much better through the afternoon, although things should improve in the next couple of days.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of -16 C this afternoon, with moderate winds of about 30 km/h from the southwest that will combine for a wind chill of around -35.

Mixed skies will cloud over later in the day, and snow is expected to start falling around midnight, with about 2 cm on the ground by morning. Temperatures won't fall too much, remaining steady around -17 C all night long.

Tomorrow will be cloudy, with a bit of a breeze, but it won't be as chilly, with a predicted high of -10 C.

Friday should see a mix of sun and cloud, with a high of -9 C.

The weekend will be 50/50. Saturday, the forecast calls for sun, with a high of -8 C. And while the temperature will stick to that, Sunday will be cloudy, with a chance of flurries.

Into next week, the forecast looks sunny, with highs on Monday and Tuesday around -6 C.

The normal high for this time of year is -6 C. The normal low is -17 C.
