Police made three separate arrests early this morning, of people being behind the wheel when they shouldn't have been. All three of the arrests are related to impaired driving.

The first arrest followed a report that a vehicle was stuck in a snow bank in the 3100-block of Victoria Avenue. Police responded at about 2:30 a.m. and arrested the driver. A 19-year-old Killarney man faces charges of impaired driving and drive over .08, and is to appear in court on March 21.

About an hour later, police were called to the 3700-block of Centennial Boulevard, where a man had been banging on the front door of a home. He had left before officers arrived, but armed with a description of the man and the vehicle he was driving, they pulled over a suspect in the 3400-block of Victoria Avenue. He apparently showed signs of being impaired, but police say he refused a demand to provide breath samples. An 18-year-old Brandon man is to appear in court on March 21, to face charges of refusing a breathalyzer.

Finally, at about 5 a.m., officers spotted a vehicle headed the wrong way on Rosser Avenue. They managed to pull it over in the 1700-block of Pacific Avenue — just as it was being reported stolen by its owner. The driver, a 16-year-old Brandon boy, showed signs of impairment, and was also found to be on two separate probation orders. He was was charged with impaired driving, drive over .08, theft of motor vehicle, and three counts of breaching probation. The accused was held in custody to appear in court sometime today.
