Council will hear from Kingsway Kort developer

An informal session of City Council has been called to hear from the developer who is looking to turn a trailer park into a condo-apartment complex.

Residents of the Kingsway Kort trailer park have been vocally opposed to the developers plans, which will see them evicted and the land rezoned.

Councillors heard out some of their concerns at an informal meeting earlier this month. Now, they're poised to give the same opportunity to the developer.

They'll meet informally in council chambers on Monday, Dec. 16, from 6:30–7:15 p.m., just prior to the regular meeting of city council.

The city says that the meeting was requested by Aaron Dubois of Brandon Evergreen Developments, who want to address council and answer any questions that councillors may have regarding the tenancy terminations at the trailer park.

The meeting will address only the eviction, and not any rezoning of the property.
