A Dauphin man is dead and two Brandon residents are in hospital following a single-vehicle rollover early Sunday morning.

Shortly before 2 a.m., police and emergency services were dispatched to the intersection of the TransCanada Highway and Highway 270, about five miles west of Brandon. Upon arrival police located a silver Kia Sedona minivan about 150 meters south of the intersection after it rolled multiple times before coming to rest in a field.

During the crash, a 43-year-old man from Dauphin was ejected from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

A 34-year old woman and 43-year-old man, both from Brandon, are in serious but stable condition at the Brandon hospital.

Alcohol, speed and intersection violations are believed to be factors in the collison.

Highway 270 south ends at the TransCanada Highway, but there is a gravel road that veers right on the south side of the TransCanada.

An RCMP traffic collision analyst and officer of the criminal crash investigation team are investigating.
