Dauphin man dies after motorcycle crash

A 44-year-old Dauphin man died of his injuries on Tuesday after a motorcycle collision last week.

On Friday, Aug. 10, Dauphin RCMP, Parkland EMS and the Ochre River Fire Department attended the scene of a single vehicle collision on Highway 20 at Dauphin Beach. At the scene investigators found a motorcycle and its rider in the north ditch.

The male operator, who was wearing a helmet, and was the sole occupant of the motorcycle at the time of the crash, was identified as a 44-year-old from Dauphin. He was taken to hospital, where later died from his injuries on Aug. 14.

RCMP are not releasing the man's name. The cause of the collision has not yet been determined, and the investigation into the crash continues.
