Dauphin police probe trio of arsons

Police in Dauphin are looking for tips from the public as they try to solve three suspicious fires that were set last weekend.

The fires were all reported after 11 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, and police released their plea for tips the following Friday.

They say that within the span of about a half-hour, firefighters were called to two car fires and a dumpster fire in that city. One of the car fires was on Fifth Avenue SW and the other was on First Street NW. The dumpster that was lit up was on First Avenue NE.

Anyone with info about these apparent arsons is asked to call the Dauphin municipal RCMP or to contact Crime Stoppers.
