Driver and passenger both arrested after impaired stop

Police say the driver was arrested for being impaired, and then the passenger was arrested, too, after they pulled over a vehicle Thursday night.

The made the traffic stop at about 11:30 p.m. in the 800-block of First Street. The woman behind the wheel showed signs of intoxication and was arrested, police say, and when they checked the passenger, they say he initially gave them a false name.

He was later identified and also arrested, since he was found to be violating a court-ordered curfew.

A 24-year-old Brandon woman is to appear in court on May 10, on a charge of impaired driving.

A 17-year-old Brandon boy was to appear in court this morning on charges of breaching an undertaking and public mischief.
