The apparent driver of a car that crashed through a business' fence and landed in the back yard of a neighbouring home has been charged.
Police were called to the scene crash at about 2:25 a.m. on Wednesday morning. When they arrived in the 2800-block of Victoria Avenue, they found a red four-door car had driven through a fence at the rear of the business's property and was sitting in the back yard.
A 22-year-old woman inside the car showed signs of being intoxicated, and was arrested, but she refused demands to submit to a breathalyzer.
She was held in custody for a time, but has since been released. She'll appear in court later this month charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired, and refusing a breathalyzer.
Police say there were no injuries as a result of the crash, and they don't have a damage estimate.
