Drugs, cash, gun seized in Stockton
A 23-year-old man faces numerous charges after a drug raid on a Stockton home late last week.
Police say they searched the home at about 1 p.m. on Friday, June 22, and found thousands of dollars in cash and drugs, as well as a semi-automatic rifle.
A total of 8.5 grams of crystal methamphetamies (worth $1,200), 113 grams of cocaine (worth $4,800) and $4,500 in cash were seized, along with paraphernalia for the possession and distribution of the drugs, police say.
As well, officers found a loaded, semi-automatic .22-calibre rifle in the home.
One man was arrested during the raid.
A 23-year-old Stockton man faces charges of possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm. He was released on numerous conditions and is scheduled to appear in Brandon court on Aug. 9.
The raid was conducted by officers of the Blue Hills RCMP, the Brandon RCMP majpr crimes unit, and the Portage RCMP dog section.
Police say they continue to investigate.
