Police say that a drunk woman pushing a cartload of groceries down the street hadn't paid for them before leaving the store.

They were tipped off by an anonymous caller about the woman, who was pushing her cart down Victoria Avenue at about 6 p.m. on Monday.

When officers arrived, they say they found her between Seventh Street and Eighth Street, with about $700 worth of groceries in the cart, which had been taken from Superstore.

The woman, a 35-year-old from Brandon, was taken to the drunk tank overnight. She's expected in court on July 31, when she'll face a charge of possession of stolen property.
