A woman was pushed and had her purse snatched by another woman who made off in a waiting getaway car Monday evening, police say.

The 46-year-old victim was loading her car in the 800-block of Victoria Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. when she was approached by a stranger who asked her a question. She then pushed the victim and then grabbed her purse from the shopping cart before fleeing.

Police say the getaway car was a black, four-door sedan, which was being driven by someone else. The victim wasn't able to get the license plate number from the car, or a description of the driver. However, the purse-snatcher is described as a Caucasian woman with a thin face, about 60 years old, who was five-foot-one with blonde hair.
