Eight people face charges following a seven-month investigation into drug trafficking in Dauphin.
RCMP announced today that Project Debrief concluded with searches and the arrests of eight Dauphin residents between Friday and Monday. Police seized about 450 grams of marijuana and 15 grams of cocaine.
Each of the eight accused -- who range in age from 18 to 34 years -- is charged with trafficking cocaine. One man is also charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Two men remain in custody pending court dates. One is expected to make a court appearance today, and the other in a week.
The other six people have been released and are scheduled to appear in court on April 22, 2014.
