A guy already wanted by police found himself with a new charge after they quickly saw through his fake name.
Officers pulled over a taxi at about 2 a.m. Wednesday morning when they recognized a male who was riding as a passenger inside as having an arrest warrant out for him. When the cabbie stopped, in the 300-block of 34th Street, police arrested the male passenger, but he first tried giving a false name.
It didn't work: He was jailed overnight, and police say he was to appear in court later Wednesday to deal with a couple of charges, including breach of probation and public mischief.
