Police are investigating a string of break-ins to Brandon businesses over the weekend. At least some of them are linked.
Officers say that a window was pried open sometime between Sunday and Monday at a business in the 500-block of First Street, allowing a thief or thieves to get inside. A quantity of cash was stolen, and police found that a second business in the same location had also been broken into, however nothing was reported missing from there.
Then, officers were called to another break-in, this time in the 2500-block of Park Avenue. A window there, too, had been pried open sometime between Sunday and Monday, allowing entry to the business. Nothing was stolen from there, but police say a neighbouring business found it had been broken into at the same time, through the ceiling, and cash was stolen from there.
Finally, officers were called to a break-in at a business in the 300-block of Park Avenue East. Sometime between Friday and Monday, a fenced compound had been entered, and several RVs inside were damaged. Police say they're not yet sure whether anything was stolen.
They continue to investigate all the break-ins.
