The Government of Canada will deliver increased benefits to Canadian Armed Forces Veterans.

This will be accomplished by ending the deduction of veterans’ disability pensions when calculating their earnings loss and Canadian Forces Income Support benefits.

"Our Government will always stand up for veterans, and we will never forget their service and sacrifice for our country," said Merv Tweed, MP for Brandon-Souris. "The changes announced today will provide additional benefits for veterans and their families."

These changes, amounting to an investment of $177.7 million over five years, demonstrate the Government’s ongoing determination to meet the needs of veterans and their families.

Canadians can continue to receive information about VAC programs and services in person at Veterans Affairs Canada offices and Canadian Forces bases, as well as online at veterans.gc.ca.
