A city joy ride on a golf cart has landed one teen in hot water.

Early Wednesday morning police received a report that a golf cart had been stolen from the front of a residence on Braeview Place.

Just after 11 a.m., a second report came in that two young girls were driving a golf cart, parking it at a residence on Knowlton Drive.

As a result police arrested and charged a 13-year-old girl with possession of property obtained by crime.

She is set to appear in Brandon Provincial Court on August 19.

The golf cart was returned to the owner and the incident is still under investigation as additional charges against other individuals are pending.

While at the residence, police also confirmed that another person had breached a curfew from the night before.

She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.
