Brandon Sun - ONLINE EDITION

Gonna be a bright, sunshine-y day

Sure, it may have dipped a tenth of a degree below freezing overnight, but that'll be a bad memory by this afternoon, as there's nothing now getting in the way of a multi-day warming trend.

Environment Canada calls for today to be mainly sunny, with a high of 20 C. You might want to think about sunscreen — the UV index is expected to hit 6, or high.

Tonight will be clear, with a low of 4 C overnight. Then, tomorrow, a high of 22 C in the afternoon. There's a small chance that showers could hit Brandon by evening, with a risk of a thunderstorm, and those showers could continue into Friday morning, but even Friday is expected to be warmer yet.

The high for Friday will be 23 C, with a low of 9 C, and the weekend will start out ever nicer yet.

At this point, the forecast for Saturday calls for a high of 24 C with sunny skies. Clouds may return by Sunday, but temperatures will still be in the low 20s.

The normal high for this time of year is 21 C, the normal low is 8 C.
