Brandon Sun - ONLINE EDITION

Gorgeous late-spring day in store

If you don't have a chance to get out and enjoy today's beautiful afternoon ... well, don't worry, you'll have a whole weekend, too.

Environment Canada is calling for sunny skies with a high of 21 C this afternoon. But you might want to put on some sunscreen before you head out to sit on a patio or something. The UV index will hit 7, which is considered high.

Overnight, a few clouds will roll in, and there's a 60 per cent chance of showers with the risk of a thunderstorm, along with a low of 8 C.

Those clouds will stick around tomorrow, too, with a good chance of showers all day long Friday, along with the risk of a thunderstorm in the evening. However, a high of 22 C will make that a little more palatable than last week.

Saturday and Sunday should more than make up for any rain that falls on Friday.

Both days are predicted to be mostly sunn, with a high in the mid-20s.

That great weather will continue into early next week, too. At this point, the forecast for Monday is calling for sun and a high of 25 C.

The normal high for this time of year is 21 C; the normal low is 9 C.
