Hit and run suspect found to be impaired

Early Sunday morning, Brandon police responded to a complaint of a hit and run collision in a hotel parking lot located in the 3100-block of Victoria Avenue.

Police eventually stopped the suspect vehicle a short time later on 9th Street North where the driver of the truck appeared to be intoxicated.

Breath tests revealed a blood alcohol content over twice the legal limit and police laid several charges against a 21-year-old Brandon man relating to the investigation, including driving while prohibited.
