A 911 caller reported the fire at about 2:50 a.m. this morning. It was fully engulfed in flames when police and firefighters arrived on the scene.

Police continue to have the 200-block of First Street blocked off in both directions. The home, located in the middle of the block on the east side of the street, appears nearly completely gutted, with the front of the house completely charred and a massive hole in the attic roof.

Residents of a neighbouring home were evacuated as a precaution.

Although the cause of the fire hasn't yet been determined, the Arson Task Force is involved in the investigation.
