Brandon Sun - ONLINE EDITION

Hot afternoon today

Ready to break out the bikini one last time? Environment Canada is calling for a high of 30 C this afternoon — plenty hot enough for beach weather.

Best yet, although it will be sunny and warm, a UV Index of 5 (rated as moderate) will make for much less intense sunbathing than mid-summer.

Gusty winds will fade a little bit through the day.

A few clouds are expected tonight, with a low of 10 C, and tomorrow will be substantially cooler, with a predicted high of just 19 C.

Wednesday and Thursday will be similar. The forecast calls for a high of 20 C both days, with overnight lows near freezing.

There will be a bit of an uptick near the end of the week, though, with a high of 26 C forecast for Friday ,and 24 C on Saturday.

The normal high for this time of year is 19 C, the normal low is 7 C.
