Hot again, thunderstorms possible later

It's another hot one in store for Westman today.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of 28 C this afternoon, with the UV index reaching a level of 9, or very high.

It'll be a mix of sun and cloud, with more cloud as the afternoon progresses, according to the forecast, increasing to mainly cloudy this evening and tonight. There's a 60 per cent chance of showers or thunderstorms late this evening or overnight, with a low of 16 C.

Thunderstorms and rain showers are expected to continue tomorrow, with a high of 24 C.

Things will cool off slightly for Friday, which is predicted to see a high of 22 C and a low of 14 C with a mix of sun and cloud.

Showers will return for the weekend, with a high of 22 C on Saturday and a high of 18 C on Sunday.

The normal high for this time of year is 23 C; the normal low is 10 C.
