Impaired driver injures taxi driver

A 25-year-old Brandon man was charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm and driving over .08, after a three vehicle accident at Victoria Avenue and Creighton Boulevard.

The police received a report shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday morning that a vehicle rear-ended a taxi, which in turn rear-ended another taxi.

The driver of the vehicle that caused the crash appeared intoxicated when the police arrived, so he was taken to the BPS station where he failed a breath test.

One of the taxi drivers was injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The accused will appear in court later this month to face the charges.
