City coun. Len Isleifson (Riverview) is holding a press conference Thursday afternoon, but what he's announcing is not yet clear.

In a brief press release sent at around 10:30 p.m. Monday, he stated "I have been approached by many citizens of Brandon encouraging me to consider a run for the mayor’s chair, to seek re-election on city council or, as recently reported, run for MLA in Brandon East.

"It is hard to believe that four years have almost past since being elected as a city councillor in the Riverview Ward in Brandon.

"It has been extremely rewarding and has only grown the desire I have to continue to work hard for the families of this great city."

Isleifson will hold the press conference outside city hall May 22 at 2 p.m.
