Jets overhead for military training

Westman residents should keep their eyes peeled for fighter jets overhead, but it's all part of training.

A Shilo communique advises that military training is set for a few communities later this month, and will include daytime flights by small jets as soldiers practice their skills in urban environments.

The jets, known as Alpha jets, will be over Killarney on June 25, Virden and Oak Lake on June 26, Boissevain on June 27, Treherne and Carman on June 28 and Brandon on June 29.
