Light snow, but mild

Morning clouds will begin to dust Brandon with a bit of light snow this afternoon, and although fairly mild, temperatures are still below normal for this time of year.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of -5 C this afternoon, with snow to begin around noon. A bit of wind may stir things up, at 20 km.h from the southeast.

The snow should end this evening, although clouds will persist, and temperatures will dip to about -14 C overnight.

Tomorrow will stay mainly cloudy, with skies clearing early in the evening. The afternoon should reach about -6 C.

Over the weekend, there's a chance of more snow — the forecast calls for clouds on Saturday with middling chance of flurries and a high of -6 C, then sun on Sunday and a high of -7 C. Overnight lows could fall below -20 C on the weekend.

Things could warm up into next week.

At this point, Monday is predicted to see a mix of sun and cloud and a high of -1 C, followed by a high of -5 C on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The normal high for this time of year is -3 C, the normal low is -13 C.
