Brandon Sun - ONLINE EDITION

Light snow, mild temps, some wind

Big fluffy flakes of light snow lent a picturesque look to this morning, but the snow is expected to taper off before noon.

Environment Canada is calling for a mix of sun and cloud today, with north winds at 20 km/h gusting to about 40 km/h, although they'll lighten through the day as well. Today's high should be about -7 C, slightly above normal.

Tonight should be partly cloudy, fully clearing overnight, then more cloud rolling in before morning, with a low of -10 C.

Tuesday should see clear skies again by the afternoon, although windy, with a high of -3 C.

Wednesday is predicted to be mild again, with a high of -2 C, and flurries.

Fairly mild temperatures should continue through the rest of the week, as well, with a high of -4 C on Thursday and -9 C on Friday. At this point, the weekend should be pretty comparable.

The normal high for this time of year is -8 C, the normal low is -19 C.
