Liquor Mart confirms move out of Shoppers Mall

New location to open this summer

The Liquor Mart located in the Brandon Shoppers Mall will soon be moving to a new, larger location.

Roman Zubach, a Liquor Mart vice-president says that the mall location has outgrown the space.

"While the site in the Brandon Shoppers Mall has served us well over the years, the lack of storage space at the location has become quite a challenge," Zubach said. "The new location will not only give us more breathing room, it will include new, modernized décor and amenities, like an enhanced wine corner and sampling station, not currently found in its current home."

The new Brandon South Liquor Mart will be located on the other side of 18th Street, next to the south-end Sobeys near Aberdeen Avenue. The new store will be more than 7,000 square feet.

"With the relocation of the Liquor Mart, customers will have a much easier time accessing the store," Zubach said. "We anticipate shoppers will also appreciate the added convenience of their Liquor Mart being located next to a major grocer."

The new Brandon South Liquor Mart is expected to open in Summer 2013.

About bloomin time, will save time and gas. Its about time supermarkets sell liquor like they do in the UK, would make life so much easier to be able to shop in one place rather than running around town.
