A weekend event at Spruce Woods provincial park will show off how coureur-de-bois fur traders lived and camped.
Pine Fort Days, which will run from Aug. 15–17 this year, has a daily rendezvous camp, as well as special interpretive events.
People are invited to join the voyageurs for an evening candlelit tour as well as the canoe brigade arrival. They can also bring a mug for hot chocolate for the opening evening's campfire, which will also feature some traditional bannock.
Also planned is a Runner of the Woods fashion show; the weekend will finsh up with a closing campfire.
